Back before boys matter,
And distance was an issue.
Back when money popped up whenever we needed it,
And quitting your job to go on a roadtrip was always an option.
When it was okay to skip the important nights
To make new memories that only we could share.
Back when the car rides were better than the destination,
But the destination was unbelievable.
When we could spend all of our money on other people,
But still have enough to be okay.
Back when the dessert and the harbor were all we needed.
Before those days that we got so tense
We didn't know what to do with each other.
Those times that sleepovers lasted weeks,
And plans were made 20 minutes before the event.
Back before consequences became realities.
No one can top what we've shared,
No matter how hard they try.
Simply because we're DDXC,
Like no other.
Friends are forever,
They're not meant to weather.
